Christmas Cookies: Deck the Halls

Welcome to LunaCafe’s Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies: Deck the Halls collection.

If you read The Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies kick-off post, you know I can’t help myself when it comes to holiday cookie baking. I always say it is way too much work and that I’m going to be more reasonable this year and bake only a few types of cookies. But once I start, some Wild Christmas Spirit takes over and there is no going back.

It’s a full on, mass production affair with every surface in the kitchen covered with cookie cutters, cookie tins, flour, butter, sprinkles, extracts, walnuts, pecans, almonds, coconut, candied everything, and chocolate.

MauiJim pleads, “Enough already. We’ll never eat all of these. And we don’t know enough people to give them to.” But seriously, how can the word “enough” apply to something so steeped in the divine as Christmas cookies. That’s like saying, “That’s enough Love already.” And well, you and I both know there can never be too much of that.
